NEW ORLEANS (AP) - New Orleans Hornets owner George Shinn has agreed to sell the club to the NBA and the transaction could be completed in a few days, according to a person familiar with the decision.
The League has aligned sports born in New - Orleans Attorney Jac Sperling, vice President of administrator of the NBA NHL's Minnesota Wild of team and supervising its sale to a more permanent owner person told The Associated Press, Sunday, on condition of anonymity because the move has not been publicly announced.

Hornet current President Hugh Weber will continue to monitor the daily operations of what will be the first team of the NBA to belong to the League, said the person.
Spokesman for the NBA Tim Frank Sunday refused to comment on the sale.
Shinn was in negotiations to sell the team to the owner of the minority and the Louisiana native Gary Chouest since last spring, but talks have been blocked for months.
Chouest, which owns 35% of the team runs a company that provides ships in the Gulf oil industry. Recently, he became concerned about its ability to run the family business while embodying the Hornet, said the person who confirmed purchase planned NBA Club.
He remained impreci Sunday evening if Chouest would retain its participation in the club if the NBA has supported or could be brought to the table once the team is in the hands of the NBA.
Chouest has not responded to repeated calls to his Office and e-mails asking for comment on this topic because he entered first of negotiations to buy shares of majority of team Shinn.
